New York (Pt. I)

Yesterday we arrived in New York.  Dad and Linda drove on to Park Ridge, New Jersey for Linda’s high school reunion.  Reilly and I are staying at Linda’s son’s apartment in West New York (or it might be Union City–who can tell where one city starts and another ends?) right across the Hudson from Manhattan.

Last night we took a bus into the city and wandered around.  We started in Time Square and made our way down into the Village and hung out in Washington Square Park.  NYU undergrads paced the sidewalks going to and from parties and clubs.  One grungy looking student holding his head in his hands exclaimed (to no one in particular) “Man, that’s heavy!”

Today we’re headed back into Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel, hoping to get some pictures in the daylight, check out record stores and get our hands on good pizza.
